We were starving after our Ides of March screening, so we decided to walk to up Yonge/Dundas Square and grab some brunch!

We ended up at Milestones and opted to sit out on the patio. I mean, it’s September and it was BEAUTIFUL out in Toronto and there was no way we could resist! (Sidebar: Milestones (and all the other Cara restaurants) really need to get their social media game up!)

The view from our seats! Perfect for people-watching.

We got a “Pimm’s no. 1 Cup” pitcher (Pimm’s, lemonade, ginger ale, fresh cucumbers and oranges). It was our first time having Pimm’s and we loved this. So perfectly refreshing!

Us enjoying our bevvies in the sun!

Roasted Mushroom & Goat Cheese Risotto Balls
(Roasted mushroom risotto, creamy goat cheese and regianno cheese, lightly fried with a panko crust)

We decided to try these because they’re new on the menu and we both love cheese and risotto! We were extremely happy with this! The flavours worked perfectly together – so creamy and savoury. I loved the texture as well and the tomato sauce with fresh basil was lovely. I could have had a giant bowl of these as my meal, haha.

Definitely one of my new favourite menu items at Milestones! So yummy!

Saw some wedding pictures being taken at the Yonge/Dundas intersection. Great idea because the streets were closed for TIFF!

Grilled Seafood Salad
(Grilled tiger shrimp, Wild Pacific Coho salmon, marinated shrimp, fresh avocado, papaya, roasted Italian tomatoes & crisp noodles)

This is one of my favourite salads ever. So refreshing, great flavours and texture. The dressing (lemon-chardonnay) remains to be one of my favourites, too!

Eggs Milestones
(Goat cheese, sliced roma tomatoes, and avocado salsa with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce)

We decided to walk around for a bit in the shade of the buildings!

Being extra tourist-y at YD Square

I’m laughing in this shot because I had to run in while no one was around and the water just started to shoot up! Haha great timing and it turned out so cute!

One of The Good Bikes spotted. Click the link and get familiar with it if you’re not! Such an amazing project.

Love when streets are closed and we can walk around otherwise super-busy streets :)
