The last month has been a blur – I’ve been so pre-occupied with exams, essays and freelance projects that I’ve accumulated a ridiculous amount of backlog for the blog. My apologies! But that just means there will be many, many blog posts to come for end of April and May… and then it will be June already! What the heck, right?

Anyway, I’m sure you don’t want to hear about how stressed I’ve been. Instead, let’s talk about something (err, someone) who makes me super happy… My sister! She’s my best friend and my doppleganger lol We always joke around that we are actually twins, born 9 years apart. We look and act alike (when my friends meet her, they’re pretty much in awe lol), but I think the best thing about is how hilarrrriiious we both are.

Honestly. No really. (Check us out as a Mommy + Baby zombie duo 2 Halloween’s ago. Yup, I was the baby.)

(Since we don’t live together, I’m sure she’d be happy just to have all of my clothes and make-up lol)

Anyway, I finally got to spend some time with my family last week! For those of you who don’t know, I’m a big family girl and I honestly go a little insane if I don’t hang out with my mom or siblings every so often. We usually see each other at least once a week, but my schedule’s been so busy that I’ve only seen them twice in the last month. What did we do? EAT! (No pics because I tend to go offline whenever I hang out with them.)

But, I did dye my little sister’s hair and we took some pics of that. Clairol Canada was nice enough to send over this Perfect 10 hair dye so we could try it out – I really loved the brush that came with the applicator. It made it super easy to evenly distribute and wasn’t drippy at all. And it only look 10 minutes!! We chose this shade because my sister doesn’t normally dye her hair and we wanted to keep her hair looking natural. (You can buy this pretty much anywhere: Shoppers, Wal-Mart, Target, etc.)

(Bottom right: this little cutie – his name is Yoshi – kept playing with us while we were getting to work! lol)

Here’s how her hair turned out – very subtle, but definitely a nice change for Spring/Summer! Cute, right?

I made a commitment to give my hair a dye break (I’ve been dying my hair since I was 13!!) and here is us this past summer during my last dye job. (We try not to make the same face in pictures so that we don’t look identical). I can’t lie, the temptation to dye my hair has been killing me.

Do you have a sister who you luuuurrrve like I do mine? Suggest some fun activies for us to do this summer! We like doing fun, ridiculous things together and both love food. Right now we’re both trying to find her a prom dress, so don’t be shy to pimp out your fave local dress store! (I can’t believe my baby is going to prom omg).

  • Aw, pretty sisters! I’m a total family gal as well and my sister is one of my best friends. I’m so glad that we can borrow each others clothes and share beauty and skin care tips! :)

I’m so tempted to dye my hair, but my hair is already too damaged and needs a trim. Ugh.

    • Aww yay! Ugh since I’m the older sister, she gets to “borrow” a bunch of my stuff and mostly without me knowing lol

And yes on the hair! My natural hair’s grown out about 4 inches now and I just keep reminding myself that I’ve come this far, I can’t give in! Going to be super hair during the summer though, because my hair is usually so light during the summer months!
