In the midst of our busy days and weeks, along with Andrea coming home from Europe, we decided to go out for dinner in good ol’ Yorkville. Where else would we go if not for Sassfraz? We had great timing as it was during Summerlicious. Great food, fantastic atmosphere & awesome service.

Appetizer (all 3 of us got this one): Double smoked bacon crusted scallops with pea puree (Best scallops I’ve ever had. Amazing.)

Entree (My pick): Seared mahi mahi with coconut rice, steamed bok choy with red pepper, mango and papaya salsa (The mahi mahi was very tender & flaky. Delicious. However, the “coconut rice” was not very good.)

Entree #2 (Jenna & Andrea’s): Grilled 12 oz. New York Striploin with potato and corn hash, green beans and chipotle Foam (Chipotle foam was interesting. The portion size of the steak was gargantuan.)

Dessert (we all chose this one, too): Tiramisu with Kahlua chocolate sauce and espresso bean croquant (The best tiramisu I’ve ever had.)

After dessert: I’m not entirely sure what it was called, but it was a heavenly drink. I knew it had white chocolate & hazelnut liqueur, melted chocolate and steamed milk. Heavenly.
