Today is International Kissing Day! Appropriate post? I think so!
I don’t know about you guys, but I love lip products that make your lips feel soft. I have so many of them and I thought I’d share my go-to’s with you. Most of these can be bought at a pharmacy or any big brand stores (Wal-Mart, Target, etc.).
Let me know in the comments if there’s a product you think I would love based on my picks! I am sadly not a big fan of the EOS balm, which has skyrocketted into popularity lately – I felt like it just sat on my lips and didn’t really hydrate them very much.
Vaseline Lip Therapy – I’m starting with this one because it is sadly not available in Canada. One of my good friends who lived in the UK for quite a bit spoiled us with a few tins and it’s become one of my favourites. But fret not! The Cocoa Butter version is available in Canada but with a different packaging (like this). Or a tin version can be bought on Amazon here. It is super hydrating + gives your lips a pretty shine so it’s great to wear alone or under lipstick.
NIVEA Lip Butter – NIVEA sent me this product a few months ago and I fell in love. If you’ve ever tried NIVEA Creme, it’s like that but for your lips. It’s a very thick, luxurious formula and ends up looking a little white on your lips sometimes, so I usually dab some lipstick on top just for colour. It smells/tastes amazing and always leaves my lips in a better condition.
KORRES Lip Butter (Pomegranate) – I adore this one! When you dip your finger in it, it feels like you’re reaching into a little tub of butter – it’s that soft! It has a slight fruity smell/taste but it’s not overpowering. I love it because it gives you a pop of colour and takes care of your lips at the same time.
Polysporin Day + Night Hydration Therapy – This one is a combo! Polysporin sent me these products to try out and they promised to get my lips soft in just 3 days. Did it work? Yes! Both products are extremely hydrating and I would highly recommend them if you’re experiencing severe dryness on your lips especially if you use these two together (one for day and one for night). The only downside is that neither of them smell very good (they don’t smell bad or anything), but they are both lacking that cocoa butter/fruity taste or smell that the others in this list have (or that might be your preference!). This would also be great for the men exactly for that reason. Also doesn’t show any colour.
What type of lip products do you usually go for? Do you prefer the ones in tubs or ones that you squeeze? Do you like ones with a little colour or clear? If you’ve recently discovered a product lately, tell me about it in the comments!
Disclosure: The NIVEA and Polysporin were both sent to me by the PR representatives. As always, that doesn’t change how I feel about them. I’m sharing these products with you because they are truly my favourites. I am very selective in the products I feature on B+AB because just like IRL (in real life), I would never recommend something I don’t absolutely love.
