I was recently in California for the first time this summer. This is one of the first posts in the “Cali Trip 2013” series! Yup, something artsy fartsy indeed.
I needed to see the Urban Lights Instillation by Chris Burden. I always loved the way it looked in photos and I love light installations.

We dropped by during the day, then again at night on our last day in California. We sadly couldn’t fit actually going inside the museum for our trip, so I think it will be our first stop next time we’re in LA. If you’ve been inside, tell me what your favourite thing was! I can live vicariously through you :)
[Shoes: Nine West]
Picked these up earlier in our trip when we were in San Francisco and I couldn’t resist! I love shoes that make you feel sexy (and look it, too!)
Fun fact: The installation consists of 202 restored street lamps from the 1920s and 1930s. Most of them once lit the streets of Southern California. Ahhhh soooo cooool!!
Just, uh… casually walking by the installation as my skirt flows perfectly.
(Photo creds to my sis who always takes my pics when I need her to!)
Another fun fact: The lights are solar powered and switched on at dusk. (thanks Wikipedia!)
Quick shot before we left, ended up being my favourite. Isn’t it awesome how that happens?
Have you ever seen the Urban Lights? There was no shortage of people taking photos here! Tourists, engagement shots and we even spotted a Bride-to-be on her Bachelorette taking pics w/ her girls and their photographer. Such a cute place for photos! Are you into this sorta thing? Because I luhhhh this shit!
