Every time I look at Kyro, more and more.. I see my husband. Not only in the way he looks, but I can see he’s picked up a few biological traits already. Unfortunately, that included his sensitive skin. My husband has the most sensitive skin I have ever witnessed. He has eczema that tends to flare up with any type of change in temperature or humidity and the driest skin ever.
When I was pregnant, we would joke around “What if our baby has your skin?! What are we gonna do?” Well… it’s happened. Kyro’s skin is so sensitive that most of the other lotions that have been recommended by friends and even our family doctor, still give him some rashes or red bumps. I was both surprised and disappointed that he gets reactions to lotions that we have used for ages, even those marketed for sensitive skin.
His skin honestly caused me so much stress when he was a newborn because I felt like every lotion out there had harmful chemicals that just did not work for his skin. We tried so many brands and finally found La Roche-Posay.
The Lipikar Lait formula is light with a milky texture, fast-absorbing and feels very hydrating the moment you put it on.
A few months ago when La-Roche Posay sent me a press kit with their Lipikar Baume AP+, I was really apprehensive to use it on Kyro, but after hearing rave reviews from real-life friends and Instagram-friends, I decided to give it a try. It changed everything. His skin changed almost immediately and any red bumps he had were gone overnight. I did a little more research on the brand and I love that their ingredients are kept to just the essentials, at the right active dose (no unnecessary chemicals) and everything is allergy-tested. Since then, we have been using this La Roche-Posay every single day.
So, when they told me all about the new LIPIKAR LAIT, a moisturizer for dry skin, in a milky texture suitable for everyone in the family, I was very excited to try it! We loved it so much that we have partnered with La-Roche Posay on this blog post.
It keeps my baby’s skin hydrated and soothed for hours on end. I love that I don’t have to keep re-applying it throughout the day.
It is fragrance-free and paraben-free, made up of mostly soothing Thermal Water and 10% shea butter. (The shea butter is 100% solidarity-sourced)
So if you are looking for the right lotion for your sensitive skin, with no unnecessary ingredients, I highly recommend this one! It’s available at Shoppers Drug Mart and online at http://www.laroche-posay.ca/.
When was the last time you used a new brand that really impressed you? Let me know in the comments!
This post is sponsored by La Roche-Posay. However, that does not change my opinion – I truly adore this product and highly recommend it.
